RN Elements uses gas pesticides to proceed to the fumigation. This treatment prevents the transfer of foreign plants. It also gets rid of all parasites, worms, and bugs such as termites in the wood.
We use 2 types of fumigation: Sulfur and Ethylene Oxide (ETO).
Sulfur is the most regular method, being strong enough for most destinations. Some countries – Australia, for example – request a stronger process, such as the ETO.
Besides the fumigation process, some countries need a phytosanitary certificate. Such as:

The FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) developed the ISPM (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures) to details the treatment for packing in wood via international trade. Adhering to ISPM standards ensures we avoid the transfer of parasites!
At RN Elements we adhere to this regulation; all of our packing undergoes this treatment. Afterward, an external control does an inspection. Once everything is ok, our packing receives an ISPM 15 stamp.
