Export Documents

To be valid, international shipping requires a set of several documents. RN Elements takes care of this complex process for you.

Bill of lading

The bill of lading (also known as BL, B/L, or BOL) is a document issued by a carrier (or his agent). International trade uses it to acknowledge receipt of the cargo for dispatch. This ensures that exporters receive payment and that importers receive the goods (more information on the Wikipedia page).

Packing list

The packing list details the goods in the shipment. As well as information such as the packaging, numbering, serial numbers, weight, and dimensions of each item.

REX (Certificate of origin)

The REX certificate (replacing the formerly named Certificate of Origin, aka COO or Form A) is a document certifying that the goods have been produced, manufactured, or processed in a given country.

Commercial invoice

The commercial invoice is identical to any invoice any national company uses. Essentially, it constitutes a finalized version of the proforma invoice. Sometimes, it can include the packing list.

Certificate of pest control treatment

A pest control treatment (such as fumigation, ETO fumigation, phytosanitary, ISPM 15…) will sterilize your goods (more information on our fumigation) service page. Therefore, this certificate is a document certifying that the goods and/or packaging underwent the required treatment.
